Dr. A.J. Nolte

Title & Position: Regent University Professor in the Robertson School of Government + Director of the Israel Institute

Dr. A.J. Nolte is an Associate Professor of politics at Regent University’s Robertson School of Government, and the chair of RSG’s PHD in Government, Master of Arts in Government, and Master of Arts in International Development programs. In May 2024, Dr. Nolte launched Regent University’s Israel Institute, which educates the Regent community and the public about the history and politics of the modern state of Israel. He is the Co-chair of the Christian cohort at the Academic Engagement Network, which seeks to combat campus antisemitism in the United States, and a member of the Virginia Israel Advisory Board. Dr. Nolte earned his PHD from Catholic University of America, with dissertation research focused on the relationship between Islam and the state in Turkey and Indonesia. He lives in Virginia Beach with his wife Tisa, daughter Reagan, and son Jude
