Rev. Johnnie Moore, PhD, serves as Vice Chancellor and Managing Director of Middle East Studies at Pepperdine University. He is a 2025–2026 Visiting Fellow at the SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University and a member of Harvard’s Council for Civic Strength. He also serves on the board of the Anti-Defamation League. A global evangelical leader, Moore works at the intersection of faith, diplomacy, and foreign policy, particularly in the Middle East and in defense of persecuted communities. His advocacy contributed to humanitarian and religious freedom efforts and led to sanctions against him by the Chinese Communist Party in 2021. Moore is the author of ten books, including Defying ISIS and The Next Jihad, co-host of the podcast Babel Undone, and a recipient of the Simon Wiesenthal Center Medal of Valor
